Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
It all began with a television producer’s phone call asking KraftMaid to help a deserving family in need of a fresh start. Seasons later, we are proud to remain the exclusive cabinetry provider of ABC’s award-winning program, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
Episode 1The Nick Family
The Morgan Nick Foundation was founded by one mother whose child was tragically abducted from a baseball field in Alma Arkansas. The organization, named for the missing six-year-old, works tirelessly with law officials and parents to provide education that is designed to prevent abduction.
Colleen Nick juggles running the foundation while raising two teens in a true ’’fixer-upper’’ home. Her non-profit income doesn’t leave room for the little extras - let alone major home improvements like new floors, which were recently ruined when the Nick’s water heater exploded, flooding the entire house. In this episode of ’’Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’’ the house of this very deserving family is completely remodeled with custom KraftMaid cabinetry installed in each room.
The kitchen and living room were outfitted with maple cabinetry in KraftMaid’s own Pewter Glaze finish - which added a lustrous, polished feeling to the hub of the Nick’s home. While the bathrooms were transformed into warm retreats with maple and cherry wood cabinetry in KraftMaid’s delicious Toffee, Cashmere Glaze and Kaffe finishes.
Completed with glass inserts, chrome pulls and other decorative hardware, KraftMaid provided the finishing touches for all of the custom-made cabinetry installed in the Nick’s new and improved home.
