Episode 13The Kirkwood Family
Jael Kirkwood is one tenacious young girl. At just four hours old, Jael had to have emergency surgery to remove half of her small intestine in order to save her life. Now a healthy eleven year-old, Jael is trying to help her family out of a terrible situation.
The Kirkwood family is face with hazardous black mold that has taken over their home. When their shoddy contractor skipped out on the job, the mold moved in. Exposed wiring, open walls and poor ventilation left the Kirkwoods without the much-needed extra space their basement would’ve provided. Right now, all four girls share one tiny room.
In this episode of ’’Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’’, the tenacity of one girl pays off when she helps her parents start a new chapter in their lives and get back on their feet in a brand new home!
The Kirkwood’s kitchen was built using the Portia door style from the Lustra collection of KraftMaid’s ’’New’’ Venicia Open Framed style cabinetry.
