Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

It all began with a television producer’s phone call asking KraftMaid to help a deserving family in need of a fresh start. Seasons later, we are proud to remain the exclusive cabinetry provider of ABC’s award-winning program, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Season 3

Episode 6The Ginyard Family

After surviving an abusive marriage for 13 years, Virginia Ginyard of Capital Heights, Maryland is now a single mother raising her eight children in a home that would be cramped for a family of four. Not only cramped, but extremely hazardous, the Ginyard home has exposed live wires sticking out of the drywall, mold growing in the basement from constant flooding, holes in the walls and ceilings and the kids have makeshift bedrooms in the attic and basement.

In this episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the design team worked hard to bring the house up to code so it is finally the safe, and now more spacious home Veronica and her children deserve. The kitchen and all three bathrooms in the house were remodeled using custom-built KraftMaid cabinetry. The Ginyard’s kitchen was recreated with the KraftMaid classic Sedona style Cherry Wood cabinets in the rich, deep Kaffe finish. Wintersday glass inserts and stainless steel pulls completed the look with elegance. Veronica’s master bathroom was outfitted with Maple cabinets in an amber-toned Ginger Glaze finish with plated brass door pulls, while the remaining two bathrooms were brightened with the clean look of Frost Glaze and Natural finished cabinetry.
