Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

It all began with a television producer’s phone call asking KraftMaid to help a deserving family in need of a fresh start. Seasons later, we are proud to remain the exclusive cabinetry provider of ABC’s award-winning program, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Season 4

Episode 17The Tipton-Smith Family

In July 2004 Faith Tipton-Smith, a single mother of three, was able to purchase her first home, and this made her children so happy that they would never have to move again. Six months later, this new home that Faith and her family worked so hard to get, burned to the ground. They lost everything, but Faith and her three children were alive and safe.

Three months after the fire, Faith’s world shattered when her son, daughter and their friend were in a head on car crash, right outside the entrance to their community. 48 hours later her son died. In this episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition the team rebuilds a house that will be filled with the countless memories of a lost son and brother.

KraftMaid’s maple cabinetry was used to rebuild the family’s kitchen, finished in the creamy Bisque Glaze accented by Venetian Bronze knobs and pulls. The same hardware adorns the laundry room cabinetry, which was stained in Ginger Glaze and outfitted with Prairie glass doors.

Vanilla Bean Glaze on maple cabinets were put into Faith’s master new bathroom and finished with Satin Pewter hardware, while her daughter Emily’s bathroom shines with White Thermofoil cabinets and Satin Nickel Suitcase pulls.
