Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
It all began with a television producer’s phone call asking KraftMaid to help a deserving family in need of a fresh start. Seasons later, we are proud to remain the exclusive cabinetry provider of ABC’s award-winning program, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
Episode 22The Skaggs Family
Brian and Audra Skaggs’ son Jhett survived a heart transplant at just 10 months of age. Although he’s made incredible progress over the past two years, the poor condition of the family’s moldy, rotting, termite-ridden home poses serious risks to Jhett’s weakened immune system. Unfortunately, Audra’s income as a pre-school teacher, coupled with Brian’s income as a cattle rancher, cannot cover the mounting medical bills and needed home repairs. In this episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition the team builds a new home that will allow this family to take care of their son and do their best to prepare for his future.
KraftMaid cabinetry was donated to the Skaggs’ new home where the Peppercorn finish was selected for the kitchen. This deep brown hue was accented by Aged Bronze hardware and Antiquity glass inserts. Dove White maple wood cabinets were used in the laundry room, while the master bath and the mud room were outfitted with Natural stained cabinetry. A guest bathroom was also designed with KraftMaid’s soft toned Biscotti finish and Aged Bronze drawer pulls.
