Episode 22The Sharrock Family
Nine year old Patrick Sharrock loves to tell jokes, draw, and even break dance, but unlike most kids his age Patrick suffers from a rare bone disease commonly known as ’’brittle bone disease’’. Despite having broken 59 bones in his young life, Patrick still manages to inspire and uplift everyone around him. His parents have adjusted their lives to accommodate his disability, Dad home school’s Patrick and works full-time at night while Mom works part-time during the day. Unfortunately their 60-year-old home has plumbing problems, electrical problems, and a severely sloping floor that is no longer safe for an energetic boy like Patrick.
This week the Extreme Team travels to Rossville, Georgia to provide the Sharrock family with a house that accommodates Patrick. In the kitchen designers chose Maple cabinets finished in Burnished Praline with bronze hardware accented with Victorian glass inserts. Patrick’s bedroom and bathroom were constructed with Dove White Maple cabinets and stainless steel hardware, while his classroom for home schooling was built using Cherry cabinets stained in KraftMaid’s Vintage Mushroom with Antique Pewter hardware. In the Laundry room, aged bronze hardware was added to Cherry cabinets finished in Vintage Onyx for a clean, crisp feel. And lastly, Maple cabinets in a Rye with Sable Glaze finish with Antique Pewter hardware was hung in the Master bath.
