House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year 2012

At KraftMaid, personal style and livability are keys to designing the perfect kitchen. Those principles were clearly on display in House Beautiful’s Kitchen of the Year at Rockefeller Center, designed this year by Mick de Giulio and equipped with KraftMaid® cabinetry. Natural light, intuitive storage, a combination of textures, and plenty of room for working and relaxing made this year’s design a place where family and friends are encouraged to linger.

It was the personal details—like the glass cabinet doors and shelves in the elegant butler’s pantry—that stood out to visitors as they explored the space. Kate Kelly Smith, publishing director for House Beautiful, explained that “KraftMaid’s cabinetry, the door pulls…how it accentuates everything that I would certainly want in my kitchen, is exactly why we asked KraftMaid once again to be our partner.”

House Beautiful’s fifth annual Kitchen of the Year at Rockefeller Center in New York City was open to the public from July 16 through 20. To learn more about KraftMaid and Kitchen of the Year, watch the videos below or visit the KraftMaid by Design blog.
