    Paint and Communication

It would be a five star for the paint and one star for communication about shipping. So you get a three

    Dove white paint quart

Posted by Diane Antishin on 25th Mar 2021

The color did not match the cabinets. Definitely was darker than my dove white cabinets. Ruined a door that I touched up

not for finishing, just Mowhawk base paint

Posted by Jason on 18th Feb 2021

I thought I'd try despite other reviews to save having to do paint matching, but alas had to go to paint store. I think KraftMaid probably sprays/glazes at the factory, and doesn't have a match, but I think they could come up with a better solution or at least make a more honest description for this

Disappointed. The color is fine - the reason is not.

Posted by Juli Hedrick on 8th Dec 2020

My kitchen island is midnight blue. The end panels are 1/2", and the inset for them is 3/8" - meaning that a thin line of raw plywood shows on every corner. Shoddy craftsmanship, requiring me to buy a horrendously overpriced can of paint. My early attempts to reach customer service were unsuccessful (I sent an email and pictures) so I gave up and purchased this. Come on , Kraftmaid - you can do better.

    Don’t buy

Posted by Unknown on 29th Jul 2020

Doesn’t match, doesn’t state it’s a base coat and not the actual paint, can’t be used Ion anything but trim per its instructions. Expensive quart of paint for no use.

    Paint

Posted by Carol on 25th Jul 2020

Received a quart of paint that must have leaked all over the inside of the box and paint can. Also had rust on the rim of the can. Can’t help but think it was a used quart of paint

TERRIBLE!!! Did not match. Was obvious we touched up. Looked so bad we went and got a paint
match elsewhere to to cover it up.

Does not match dove white cabinets

Posted by Mars on 1st Feb 2020

I ordered a separate non-KraftMaid wood range hood that was primed and ready to be painted. I also ordered this dove white base coat along with my KraftMaid dove white cabinets so that I could paint my range hood to match. But... it really does not match. For some reason, the color of this paint is slightly more gray, and it’s very very obvious since the range hood is directly adjacent to the cabinets and matching crown molding. It looks awful. I called Kraftmaid, and they are sending me a new quart of paint, but I’m not hopeful. I did also get the suede finish for my cabinets so I asked if that could be the reason it doesn’t match. They said I should go ahead and order the suede topcoat from the website to see if that helps. Except I cannot find that anywhere on the website, so I can’t even try that. I’m afraid I’m going to have to try to do a paint match at Sherwin Williams or something, so that’s going to be both a time suck and more money to spend, and it probably still won’t be a perfect match... Really disappointed.
