What do you love most about your new space?
No one thought we could ever fit a functional center island into a 17' x 11’ kitchen. But thanks to KraftMaid’s reduced-depth hutch and pantry cabinet options, we made our dream a reality even in our small space.
We transformed it from what I like to call a “white-Formica-medical-exam-room” vibe to a timeless transitional kitchen. We chose Holace Maple in Dove White for the perimeter cabinetry, a Rocky Mountain Sky island, Mont Blanc quartzite countertops, and Carrara marble backsplash. We also incorporated the farmhouse sink and range hood features I’d always wanted. And did I mention the grandeur of the coordinating crown molding? It truly elevated our standard 8ft ceilings.
KraftMaid’s storage solutions, like the wood-tiered silverware drawer, roll-out trays, and auto-wastebasket cabinet are also key. We love how we were able to turn a narrow area, which could have been dead space, into a slim cabinet that keeps our cutting boards and trays easily accessible.
It’s been two years since our DIY renovation, and we’re happy to report the style and function of our kitchen continues to exceed our expectations.
